Just as with all of the other Kruger Park camps, Olifants has everything you could possibly want. The camp has comfortable accommodation with options that will suit all budgets, allowing anyone to enjoy a few nights in the park. But because Olifants is a much smaller camp when compared to the other rest camps of the Kruger, your options are somewhat limited.
Some of the more affordable accommodation options you can look forward to includebungalows and guesthouses.Part of the appeal of the smaller camp is that because there are so few accommodation options, the camp is a lot quieter and in general offers a more pleasant experience. This is why the camp is the ideal place to stay when you are looking to put your feetup instead of spending your days driving around. It is the perfect place to rejuvenate!
The most affordable accommodation for guests is one of the two styles of bungalows. There are 150 2, 3 or 4-bedunits which are kitted out with en-suite ablution facilities. Most of these bungalows have showers but you can select one with a bath. Each unit has air conditioning to combat the summer heat, and while some of the units have a kitchenette others don’t and guests staying in these bungalows will need touse the communal kitchen.
What is truly spectacular about these bungalows is that you can choose one located on the perimeter of the camp, overlooking the river below. Your preference of kitchen and/or the view needs to be specified when booking. For bigger families, there are 2 bungalows capable of sleeping4people. There are 2 single beds in each bedroom and one en-suite bathroom and one additional bathroom.
For guests looking for a little more luxury, there is the option of booking a guest house. Olifants has 2 luxury guests houses builtin the perfect location offering a beautiful view of the river. The guest houses come with lookout decksfrom which to view game. The guest houses have fully equipped kitchens, a number of bedrooms and more than one bathroom. Limited DSTV channels are available.
The two guesthousesare the Nshawu and the Lebombo. The Nshawu sleeps 8 guests and has 4 bedrooms with 2 single beds in each room while the Lebombo also sleeps 8 people in 4 bedrooms but has one queen size bed and 2 single beds in the other rooms.
